Each month, THISisDRAG.com spotlights a bold and brilliant artist redefining what drag can be. For June 2025, we’re turning our glittering gaze to a queen who’s equal parts comedy, couture, and chaotic good: the one and only Karma Kameleon. Whether she’s slaying a seven-minute power ballad or serving campy couture with a conscience, Karma is a reminder that drag can—and should—make you laugh, cry, and maybe even rethink your politics. Let’s dive into the world of Hamilton’s most unpredictable diva.

Karma Kameleon: Big Looks, Big Laughs, Bigger Purpose

A product of equal parts fabulousness and ferocity, Karma Kameleon is a queen who doesn't just perform—she makes a point. With a name inspired by her mom’s love for Culture Club and a drag persona that could only be described as dramatic?, Karma is impossible to miss—and even harder to forget.

She’s been working stages for seven years, but her energy feels like a lifetime of fabulousness condensed into a single sequin-covered moment. Her hometown of Hamilton may be known for steel, but Karma brings something softer (yet sharper): an unapologetic blend of glam, wit, and political sass.

Drag, Divas, and Dermablend

Karma’s drag aesthetic is a love letter to Hollywood divas, filtered through a lens of camp absurdity. “Any Hollywood movie where the leading lady is swapped with Miss Piggy but it’s never addressed—that’s my aesthetic,” she explains. That blend of beauty and comedy is deliberate. "I love the creativity, the gender euphoria, the free therapy, and let’s be honest—the free alcohol."

Her beauty must-haves include Dermablend Leg & Body Foundation and, of course, a healthy respect for Botox. But more than products, Karma brings an ethos to her artistry: "The use of comedy to address basically any topic" is a through-line in her performances.

Political, Personal, and Powerful

Karma doesn’t just want to entertain—she wants to agitate. For her, drag is inherently political. "We need to be political and use our platforms and voices," she says. Her message is threefold: to her fellow performers, a call to action; to queer folks, a reminder of worth; and to straight allies, a demand for genuine support.

"You can’t enjoy queer art and not support us. Don’t come to a drag show and vote for policies that hurt us—or stay silent when your voice could help."

Tequila might make you think you’re young enough to still do the splits—you are not.

Drag Family and Forever Gags

Her biggest accomplishments aren’t just on screen or stage (though she’s got plenty). From hosting Pride Hamilton in full drag for 14 hours to introducing three generations of her drag family in a single show, Karma’s most cherished moments are about connection.

And while she’s starred in Sew Fierce and Drag Brunch Saved My Life, her greatest source of pride is her House—the beloved House of Kameleon. “My drag besties are my family,” she says proudly.

What’s Next?

In five years, Karma sees herself “turning 30 for the 8th time” and still sewing outfits she doesn’t need. Tequila may not keep her young enough to do the splits, but it certainly keeps her story spicy.

But you don’t have to wait that long to see her! You can catch Karma on June 14th in Windsor at The Barbershop Bar for Diva Showdown—but don’t stop there. “There’s always something coming up,” she says. “So follow me on Instagram because days off are for people with rich parents.”

Karma Kameleon is more than a queen—she’s a storyteller, truth-teller, and provocateur with a killer wardrobe. Whether she’s making you laugh, cry, or question the world around you, Karma proves that drag is far more than an art form—it’s a revolution in heels.

Want more Karma? Follow her on Instagram at @karma_kameleon and book her directly through DMs—or send a carrier pigeon if you’re feeling old school. Just don’t expect her to do the splits.
